Pre-Blasting Diagnostic
Features
An infrared link executes the transfer of the
blasting plan from the programming unit to the blasting
machine. The blasting machine will carry out the following
operations leading to the firing:
- Short circuits and non-connected
firing lines are verified
- System checks for missing
and extra detonators,
- All functions of each individual
detonator are checked,
- One-to-one mapping between
blasting plan stored in the blasting machine and detonators
is checked on line
In case of any malfunctions an error message
is displayed and corrective measures are suggested:
- Operator then arms all detonators
in the round by turning and holding the charge key.
- Fire switch lights up, the
operator depresses the fire switch while still holding
the charge key. The blasting machine will only operate
when the charge key and the fire switch are triggered
simultaneously
